SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Antiochos I Soter, 281-261 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29 mm, 16.79 g, 4 h), Seleukeia on the Tigris. Diademed head of Antiochos I to right. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ - ANTIOXOY Apollo, nude, seated left on omphalos, holding arrow in his right hand and leaning with his left on bow; to left and right, monograms. SC 379.5c var. (differing right side monogram). Struck in high relief and with an expressive portrait. Minor marks, otherwise, good very fine.
